efrat-cohenEfrat Cohen is a BA and MFA graduate in Film Directing & Production from the Tel Aviv University Film & TV Department. Efrat graduated with honors and received a full MFA scholarship.

Efrat is currently the CEO and Head of Productions at “Gaudeamus Productions” and has produced many titles, including:

 

Short-Long – A Tribute to Israeli Cinema – Collection of 8 short dramas inspired by milestone Israeli films in history, funded by The New Israeli Film Fund, broadcasted at Channel 1.

 

Digital Relations – Collection of 3 documentary episodes which deal with human relations in the digital era, funded by The Rabinovich Foundation and Gesher Film Fund, broadcasted at Channel 8 \ Hot.

 

Houses in the City – Collection of 22 short documentaries which focuses on houses and the people in them throughout the city Tel Aviv-Yafo, produced by the Tel Aviv University Film & TV Department, broadcasted at Channel 8, screened in 2012 at the “Urban Chronicle” exhibition.

Go in Peace Rain – Documentary. 84 Min. Director: Reuven Hecker. A journey through time, history and vast different regions which tries to reflect the elusive role of music in the ever-changing culture of the Jewish people. Broadcasted at Channel 8 and Dutch television channels.

At 2008, Efrat also managed the 12th Tel Aviv International Student Film Festival, produced and managed the David Perlov Fund Competition which nurtures young documentary talents (founded by Keshet, Channel 2, Rabinovich Foundation & Perlov Family), managed the first New Media Conference for Filmmakers in Israel, managed DocuShuk, a platform for selling documentary films to foreign television distributors, as part of CoPro Documentary Marketing Foundation’s 9th conference and was responsible for the marketing and distribution of the film Invisible (2011, Israel-Germany), which was directed by Michal Aviad and which won best film and best actress awards at Haifa Film Festival, grand jury award at Berlin Film Festival and many other achievements.
